Why Coconut Bay is a good base for Soufrière

The Pitons, Sulphur Springs and Toraille Waterfall are about 30 km (roughly 45 to 60 minutes) from the resort, so you start the day closer to them than guests staying in the north. You beat much of the day-trip traffic and avoid the 1.5-hour drive many tours start with from Rodney Bay. Note: boat tours leave from Soufrière or Laborie; confirm, so your driver brings you to the dock.

Arriving at Hewanorra (UVF)? Coconut Bay includes airport transfers from UVF in its rate, and the resort is only about 5 minutes away, so you probably don’t need to book us for the arrival. Check your booking.

Thinking about renting a car?

St. Lucia drivers use the left side of the road, and the mountain roads between Vieux Fort and Soufrière are narrow and winding, with sharp bends and few road signs. A visitor’s driving permit is also required. Many guests find a private driver more relaxing and, for one or two outings, cheaper than renting and fueling a car.  Verified Loved this Tour Company has Everything and is Totally Reliable!
We had a great time on our island tour with Lyndon and his crew! So much fun and laughter! Lyndon is very knowledgeable and made sure we were well taken care of the entire day. The highlights for us were Sugar beach snorkeling, exploring the waterfalls and mud baths. The mud baths were really amazing and quirky and my skin felt incredible afterwards. We even took a boat ride which was totally gorgeous.Every detail was well planned including our delicious lunch at a local restaurant. I can't thank Lyndon and his team enough for making everything easy and totally enjoyable. I would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone visiting the island!

 Verified A Day Exploring with CULTURE
We recently visited St Lucia as a three generation family. We found Jack Sparrow on the beach at our resort Coconut Beach. Jack hooked us up with Culture and he was the perfect match for our family of 6.Our private tour included a visit to the waterfalls, mud bath, sulphur springs a traditional Lucian restaurant for lunch not to mention the many stops Culture made to show us fruits and stop for photo ops. We ended the day taking a boat ride to Sugar beach for some snorkeling and beach time all the while taking in the vistas of the beautiful Pitons. Culture was very informative and his love of his homeland came through .He was very good explaining with our grandson . I highly recommend Grasshopper Tours ! As the reviews suggested we found Jack Sparrow on the beach at Coconut Bay. He was very accommodating to our schedule and we booked a private land & sea tour. We heard from other guests that Culture was the best! So when he showed up to pick us up we were thrilled. He certainly didn’t disappoint. We had a “real” tour of Vieux Fort, stopped by authentic stores, meat, fish and produce markets. Of course we did Sulfur Springs & snorkeled at Sugar Beach. We enjoyed mingling by with locals, the majestic views, delicious foods and history that Culture shared with us! We were so thankful for the photos that Culture captured of us on the tour as well! We went on a day tour with Culture. He was by far the best tour guide i have ever experienced in the Islands. This tour was well worth it as he took us on an authentic tour of St Lucia.  Verified CULTURE BROUGHT THE CULTURE TO US!!!!!!
Excellent!!! From start to finish!! Sorry that this review came a little late but we were just in St. Lucia last week and as you can imagine things can get a little bit crazy upon your return. Anyway, Jack Sparrow gave us the rundown about what we were going to be getting and we were sold!! He did not disappoint! The entire excursion was amazing!!! My kids and husband enjoyed it immensely! Culture is the GREATEST!!!! He is well versed on the island and knows the history and he will teach you MUCH about the island culture!!! Culture also was the ultimate guide!!! He took us all over the island, helped us with the mud baths, told us where to stand for optimum beach and waterfall photos and took our pictures, he also took us to the restaurant for lunch which my kids loved, showed us some of the spice plants that they use for cooking, my son tried an organic banana and really enjoyed it!! Culture even got us some special party favors to enjoy for later on 🤣🤣. Then afterwards he got us safely back to our resort. I recommend booking with Lyndons service because you are actually giving back to the locals and helping to invest in their community versus booking through the resort and that was a big selling point for us!!! And it’s a PRIVATE TOUR, so you can be as silly as you wanna be with your people!!! Sorry for the long review but this was a GREAT experience and I hope that I have conveyed that!!  Verified Amazing day trip! Worth every penny
We were very skeptical about booking because we have someone in our group who gets sea sick. Jack sparrow is on the beach and EVERYTHING he said was a part of our day trip and we can’t say enough great things. Jimmy was our tour guide and not only is he nice, and professional he gives you some history of the island. We went to mid baths, waterfalls, then took a boat to Sugar beach, all of which was more than we even expected. We can’t say enough good things about this company and Jack, Jimmy they were both so easy to work with too. We all enjoyed our day SO much! You won’t be disappointed if you do this tour!

We had an unforgettable expierance with Lyndon Grasshopper tours. We spoke with a fella named Jack Sparrow on the beach by Coconut Bay Resort who helped us pick the best excursion to suit our needs as a couple with an 8 year old daughter. We did the "Land and Sea Tour". Our tour guide, Culture was incredible. He showed us all the local hang outs and shared so much Saint Lucian history with us. We got to experience beautiful views, waterfalls, sulphur mud bath and a relaxing afternoon at the beautiful Sugar Beach, which we took by private boat.  Verified LAND & SEA EXCURSION
Captain Jack on the beach set us up with an excellent Land & Sea excursion. We had Jimmy for the tour guide. He told us all the history, we stopped for photo ops a few times and he took the pictures for us. Mudbaths, waterfall, his gift shop, local shopping, great food at Maries, Chocolate plantation, then went to Sugar beach to snorkle. Jimmy took great care of us and was fabulous! Culture was an amazing tour guide. He has lived on the island for over 50 years and was very informative and could answer all of our questions. This tour was the highlight of our trip. We booked with Jack Sparrow on the beach for the tour which includes volcanoe & water fall tour, lunch at local restaurant & boat ride to sugar beach for snorkeling/swimming. Culture was our guide and was incredible and very knowledgeable local who explained the island life/history/traditions and answered any questions we had. The price of the private tour vs group tour was very competitive and fair. Culture was very accommodating at every stop and was fantastic with talking with one of our kids that had a million questions to ask him on the ride lol. Thank you for the unforgettable experience!
